Afternoon Village Walk

Stroll around the village of Yazali with a guide. Meet the Apatani people, who are famous for their unique practices and friendly nature. Learn about their self-sufficient way of life and take a look around the houses, which are made of wood and bamboo.

Apatani Folk & Feast

For the evening sit in a local gathering to enjoy conversations with villagers followed by a beautiful evening Apatani dance. Also hear some amazing mythical folk tale heard over ages. Followed by home cooked delicious dinner.

Breakfast

After breakfast served in Arunachali style, morning drive into the heart of Ziro Valley. The drive itself is a mesmerizing experience with scenic views of terraced rice fields and pine clad hills.

Lunch break

Visiting Apatani Villages: Visit the various Apatani villages such as Hong, Hija, and Hari around Ziro. Local sights include the Tarin Fish Farm, where you can see the "paddy-cum-fish" method of cultivation native to this region in action; and the elders of the tribe sporting their facial tattoos and nose plugs.

Ziro Puto for Sunset & Local Crafts: Hike up to Ziro Puto, a knoll overlooking the whole of Ziro Valley, with its chequered green-and-yellow paddy fields. Then, in the early evening, visit a local craft centre to see how the Apatani make their intricate handwoven textiles and finely crafted bamboo items. Return to Yazuli for the night.

Dinner

Have a hearty meal and rejuvenate yourself briefly, as the next day unfolds a lot of hectic and exciting activities.
